Include a pair of rugged cowboy boots to finish the base of your outfit. If you don't already have a pair, you may be able to find one at your local thrift store.
Wear a bolo tie around your neck if you want to resemble a modern-day rodeo cowboy. A handkerchief tied around the neck is ideal for the rugged cowboy look.
Find a plaid or denim button-down shirt to complement the theme. You might even find a western- inspired rodeo shirt with snap buttons.
Complete the ensemble with a cowboy hat. Cowboy hats come in various sizes and shapes and can sometimes be found at second-hand stores and in costume shops if you don't want to pay full price for a new one.
Incorporate modern twists on the traditional western attire, such as a rugged or western-brand T -shirt, if you want an updated look. You don't have to look like you just stepped out of the pages of a history book.
Wear a long trench coat to resemble a western law enforcement officer, especially if the weather is cold.
